June CPI up 0.05%



 Consumer Price Index (CPI) 6/2013 increased 0.05% month on 5/2013.


     General Statistics Office announced that the consumer price index (CPI) 6/2013 with an increase of 0.05% from the previous month, rising 6.69% compared with 6/2012 and up 2.4% over the month 12/2012.

     Specifically, in the 11 commodity groups, there are 3 groups of consumer price index fell from a month 5/2013 including food and food services (down 0.08%), transportation (down 0.09% ) and telecommunications (13%).

     Meanwhile, commodities price index is the strongest team apparel, headwear and footwear with an increase of 0.42%, followed by cultural groups, recreation and tourism with an increase of 0.4% .

     The drugs and medical services consumer price index rose 0.09%, in which health services in the previous month.

     Two special items not included in the overall CPI is gold and the U.S. dollar continued mixed. While the gold price index decreased 4.11% from the previous month, the U.S. dollar rose 0.26%.

     Consumer Price Index 6/2013 review of 10 selected provinces increased compared to the previous month. In particular, Khanh Hoa is the largest increase reached 0.16%, followed by TP. Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with an increase of 0.12%, while Gia Lai province has the lowest rate at 0.05%.
