Close power for over 13,702 households in two provinces of Lai Chau, Dien Bien

 



- On 19/06/2013, the Northern Electric Company celebrated the project "Expanding and improving the grid rural areas and remote provinces of Lai Chau and Dien Bien."
 

This project is located in the second component of the project development of renewable energy, expanding and improving the grid rural and remote areas borrowing the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Implementation of power projects for 14 487 households in 48 communes of 8 districts of Dien Bien province, and 16,207 households in 53 communes in 6 districts of the province of Lai Chau. The project was implemented in two phases with a total investment of 948.3 billion, of which ADB loan of U.S. $ 30 million. Specifically this project will support three of the poorest districts in the provinces of Lai Chau Government Resolution 30A is Uyen, Tan Uyen, Phong Tho number of households with electricity are 9474 households in 20 communes with 280 investment amount , 69 billion.

 

The project was launched in 4/2012 and will be completed in Phase 1 06/30/2013. To date, the project has energized the 5758 households in Lai Chau and 7944 households in Dien Bien. Planned Phase 2 of the project will be completed in January 12/2014.

 

After the national grid is provided to households, farmers and social life improved significantly, contributing to the development of production, improve the spiritual life of the people and material in the area meet the needs of economic development - social, defense and security for the people in the project communes of Lai Chau and Dien Bien.
