After the first 31 gold auctions held today, the amount of gold that the State Bank sold through auction have exceeded 30 tons.
State Bank said this morning, the agency has offered 26,000 taels, equivalent to 1 ton of gold. This is the third gold auction held this week and the 31th auction ever.
Results showed that gold absorption capacity of banks bidding and businesses remained high. 11 winning bidders today bought 25,700 gold, mean residual volume of only 300.

Highest bid price of this session was 40.44 million / tael, while the lowest winning price is 40.37 million / tael. This morning, SJC gold price by purchasing companies listed on the market at the threshold of 40.3 million / tael.
This afternoon, the difference between buying and selling prices of gold are reduced compared with the morning. At more than 16h, Group DOJI listed SJC Hanoi market at 40.35 million / tael (purchase) and 40.45 million / tael (sold out). At City Market, SJC SJC quoted gold at these levels respectively is 40.25 million / tael and 40.46 million / tael.
Currently the price of gold is at its lowest in the past 2 months, but still higher than the international price of gold equivalent of about 5 million / tael for sale.
State Bank said, from 3/28 to date, the agency has offered a total of 874,000 taels, equivalent to 33.6 tonnes of gold, and sales of 787 300, equivalent to about 30.3 tonnes of gold.
